ANPR Storage
Requirements
Our Lite and Network applications will support
upto 4 hard drives per anpr processor whilst all our Kits
come fitted with a single drive as standard (the maximum for
this product).
When deciding on the amount of storage required
for your system, the primary consideration is the quantity
of anpr recognition records you need to be available at any
time. Typical requirements vary from 1 week to 30 days; if
you intend storing these records for longer than a month,
make sure you meet your obligations under the Data Protection
Act.
Table 1 below shows the typical number of records
you can store for 1, 2, 3 or 4 drives. So, if you divide these
figures by the estimated number of vehicles you are likely
to capture in a day (for all cameras connected to this processor),
you will arrive at good guide as to the number of days storage
available.

Table 2 below shows the typical number of anpr records
you can store when recording anpr-m movies. These figures are based
on a movie sequence of 21 frames and can be scaled proportionately
for shorter movies.

images are full colour PAL
2. No anpr processor will capture more than 1 million records
in a 30 day period, even with the highest vehicle flow rates
