Our Lite and Network applications will
support upto 4 video capture cards per anpr processor
and may be configured in many different ways. All our
Kits come fitted with a single card as standard (the
maximum for this product).
Firstly, you must decide how many anpr
cameras will be connected to the anpr processor. Table
1 below shows that the slower the traffic speed, the
more cameras may be connected to a single computer.
Secondly, choose the configuration you
need to suit your application using table 2. If you
are not using overview cameras the rule is very simple
- one capture card is required for every anpr camera.
If you intend using overview cameras
to provide additional images of the vehicle at capture
time, you have a further choice. Static overview cameras
provide a single still image of the vehicle, whilst
motion overview cameras provide a movie sequence synchronised
with the main anpr camera movie.
Notes
1. The above speeds are approximate and will vary with the
position of the camera
2. Locate the camera to view the traffic stream head-on to
ensure these figures apply to your application
3. Also ensure the camera is not mounted too high when using
these guidance speeds
